The great tradition of the tea break helps you unwind from the stresses of your day as you take time out from your hectic schedule to wait for the kettle to boil and then for your tea to cool. This break allows you time to do nothing for a few minutes without feeling guilty. A much needed break in our busy lives. But more than this; the tea itself provides a nutritious drink, rich in antioxidants and minerals which can improve our well being. The Chinese have been drinking various teas to treat minor ailments for hundreds of years. Recent health studies reflect this way of thinking. The antioxidants in tea help remove harmful molecules in our body and keep us healthy. Minerals such as manganese promote the growth of bones. Whilst potassium is good for the heart. Numerous vitamins also are contained in tea which makes it a natural healthy drink. Tea is also believed to aid digestion and is a perfect drink after a meal as opposed to the more traditional coffee. But all in moderation. Certain types of herbal teas also have special qualities. Camomile is often used as a bedtime drink as it aids in relaxation. And for this reason it is often used to help calm nerves. Mint is a natural aid to digestion and can help control nausea.
